“And all I can say is, if you say you’re not worried, either you’re in denial or you’re lying. In fact, take a good look in the mirror and try to convince yourself that you’re not worried, because you’ll see how silly your face looks when you’re being disingenuous.” This is what Lori Gottlieb wrote in her 2008 Atlantic Monthly article that – understandably – provoked a huge back last.
Now she’s back with her book Marry Him, a look at her “depressing” life and a case for why there are so many women in their 30s who aren’t married.
What do you think? Are you waiting for “Mr. Perfect” instead of marrying “Mr. 8″?

This comment is about Lori Gottlieb’s piece on settling. I did not find Mr. Right until I was 46 and I was quite content being single. However, when I met my husband, I was dating a lot of men. I just kept thinking, I would rather be with Steve. He makes me laugh, he is intelligent, he is thoughtful and kind and has killer baby blues. He is MY perfect 10. Things happen when you least expect them. Keep the faith and don’t settle.
