Congratulations to Kathryn Bigelow who took home the Oscar for Best Director.  Not only did best her ex-husband James Cameron. who was nominated in the same category for Avatar, is the first woman in the Academy’s 82 year history to take home the Best Director statue.  Bigelow was awarded her statuette by the legendary Barbara Streisand.
